Exchanges With Sister Wang

Last week I had the wonderful opportuniy to be on exchanges (a term used for when we switch companions for 24 hours for trainning purposes) with  the wonderful Sister Wang. She is origanally from Taiwan and is our only Mandarin speaking  missionary in the entire mission. She is awesome! Not just because she is Asian, but because of her integrity, faith and dilligence.
I was amazed at her courage as she unashamedly shared her testimony of Jesus Christ and  was continually impressed with her enthusiasm for the work. She works dilligently as if there was nothing  better or inportant in the world to do. I knew in those few hours that she loves absolutely everything about  being a missionary.
We were able to talk about the wonderful companions, the people we serve, and how our mission has changed us.
Every time I am on exchanges I learn something new that I need to apply into my life. Sister Wang taught me to not give up even though our weakness may be great. We all have challenges in this life: personal, spiritual, and physical, but is up to us what we do with them.We can rely on our own strenth and ignore them or we can trust in the Lord for strength The Lord says in the Book of Mormon,
"I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." ( Ether 12:27)
Hevanly Father gives us weakness  so that we may  learn and grow, He does not give us weakness so that we might be humiliated and consider ourselvesn failures. I know He helps us overcome challeges. It has been through my challenges that I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life. It is in the those things that I found unbearable, or extremly difficult that I have also found the biggest change in me. I know that as we seek for His help He will stengthen us.

  1. The song "You Raise Me Up" played as I read this post. Very applicable. The Lord is there to strengthen us and raise us up to our true potential. Siser Wang is a missionary machine and has a very powerful testimony. A true representative of Jesus Christ.
